Siegrun Appelt has created an art installation as part of the Vienna Biennale for Change 2021, which can be viewed at the Museum of Applied Arts (MAK) from 28 May to 03 October. The work is questioning whether a balance can be found between the preservation of nature and its use by man. The installation is made of children’s voice recordings, that deal with central questions of climate care and daylight and outlines possible solutions. The content of the texts is based on interviews with scientists from various disciplines, and steered and designed by DLA members. In this artistic work, science and art are strongly intertwined and no longer opposites.
