The DLA Annual Conference 2024 in pictures

How can daylight be harnessed in the service of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals? That was the chief question explored at this year’s DLA Annual Conference, which took place from 30-31 May 2024 at the Clarion Hotel in Trondheim. It featured several keynotes and a wide variety of interdisciplinary sessions. With just four-and-a-half hours separating dusk from dawn, this was the most daylit DLA conference yet and a special evening session was dedicated to measuring the local twilight.

A total of 96 participants from a wide array of disciplines took part in the conference, networking, exchanging ideas as well as discovering more about ongoing DLA projects.

We also used the opportunity to explore the city of Trondheim and learn more about the Nidaros Cathedral and the recent award-winning transformation of what was once known as a dark cathedral into a space filled with light.
