Seven new members and four associates join the Daylight Academy
The Daylight Academy (DLA) elected seven new members at its recent General Assembly on 22 May 2025. The new members bring further expertise in the fields of the built environment, daylighting, heritage conservation, environmental psychology, biology, pharmacognosy, biochemistry and chronobiology.
The new DLA members are:
- Ass. Prof. Cláudia Amorim, University of Brasilia, Brazil
- Ass. Prof. Stephen Cannon-Brookes, University College London, UK
- Prof. Yvonne de Kort, Eindhoven University of Technology, Netherlands
- Prof. Patrick Guerin, University of Neuchatel, Switzerland
- Prof. Michael Heinrich, UCL School of Pharmacy, UK
- Dr Stephan Michel, Leiden University Medical Centre, Netherlands
- Dr Mandana Sarey Khanie, University College London, UK
Furthermore, the DLA steering committee elected four new Daylight associates, a new junior membership category, intended for young researchers, architects and other professionals who work with or have an interest in daylight.
The four new associates are:
- Dr Anna Magdalena Biller, Technical University of Munich, Germany
- Dr Jan-Frieder Harmsen, University Hospital RWTH Aachen, Germany
- Ms Filomena Russo, University of Cambridge, UK
- Dr Sophie Battell, University of Exeter, UK
