Exhibition “Lighten Up! On Biology and Time” – Coming soon to the MIT Museum

Lighten Up! features fifteen artists with eighteen immersive artworks, installations, and experiential environments related to circadian and seasonal rhythms, sleep and light.

The exhibition was originally presented by EPFL Pavilions in Lausanne, Switzerland, curated by Anna Wirz-Justice, Marilyne Andersen, Sarah Kenderdine, and Giulia Bini, followed by a second exhibition at the Winterthur Gewerbemuseum.

It opens on Tuesday 28 October with a panel discussion (from 6:30pm) featuring Marilyne Andersen, physicist and curator, artist Alan Bogana, and Harvard Professor of Neurobiology Elizabeth Klerman. The discussion will be moderated by MIT Museum Director Michael John Gorman and followed by a reception where visitors can explore the exhibition.
