On 27 May 2026, for the first time in its 10 year history, the Daylight Academy – DLA was proud to present the laureates of The Daylight Award 2026. The ceremony took place at the Danish Architecture Centre (DAC) in Copenhagen.
Moderated by DLA Member Dr Christine Blume and accompanied with performances by harpist Viviane Nüscheler, the ceremony traced the journey of light from the Sun to the Earth, highlighting the different ways through which daylight interacts with life as well as with different elements in our environment.
Above all, the ceremony was about celebrating the laureates of The Daylight Award 2026. This year, the jury selected Brittany N. Zepernick, Steven W. Wilhelm and R. Michael McKay in the category of Daylight Research and Momoyo Kaijima and Yoshiharu Tsukamoto (Bow-Wow) in the category of Daylight in Architecture. You can learn more about the laureates here.
