Daylight research encompasses and interacts with a multitude of research areas and disciplines, ranging from biochemistry and chronobiology to architecture, energy research, and vison sciences. Through its activities, the Daylight Academy (DLA) wants to leverage the potential of this extraordinary diversity by encouraging collaboration and mutual learning across sectors and fields of expertise. Such an interdisciplinary exchange has the potential to be a catalyst for creativity, novelty, and development. But the mission of the DLA does not end there. The organisation also strives to strengthen knowledge transfer and applications of research. The Annual Conference 2022 focused on this important task.
As usual, different perspectives were presented by guest speakers. Concrete examples of research applications and evidence-based arguments for a stronger integration of daylight, for example when designing living spaces or developing energy strategies, were shared.
