The Daylight Academy has accomplished some promising achievements in its first year after it was inaugurated in November 2016.
Driven by the expertise of its dedicated steering committee and its 65 founding members, the Daylight Academy has grown into an international and interdisciplinary network of scientists and professionals involved in daylight research. This year’s highlight was undoubtedly the publication of the “Lightbook” with Science AAAS Publishing, which rewarded the efforts of more than 40 authors and shows how broad and interdisciplinary the daylight community is! The first Annual Conference and General Assembly was held at the EPFL in Lausanne on 17 November 2017. The vibrant atmosphere of the meeting created the perfect basis to discuss the future activities of the academy.
The DLA Annual Report 2017 outlines these achievements and describes the first steps of the Academy.
