A room with a view

Daylight is very much needed, at least for health and well-being. It is delivered into buildings by windows, skylights, glass walls or glass roofs, but the traditional window is still the most common daylight aperture. The word window has also a second meaning, that is, an opening toward another world which may be real or virtual, abstract and imaginary. In every sense of the word window conveys a view out. The view out through a traditional window is appreciated very much. For many peoples the view out is even more important and valuable than the light itself, especially if it is of high quality. We spend up to 90% of time indoors, and it seems difficult to change the live style to encourage for outdoor activities. One of the reasons is frequent use of electronic devices and screens (both privately and professionally), which is not compatible with high light intensities and/or humid air outdoors. If staying mostly indoors is unavoidable, let us create as good living conditions as possible in permanently occupied interiors. Let us aim at creating a room with a view, that is a functional and attractive interior with a nice, informative and relaxing (green) view, at work places flats or apartments and other types of indoor spaces.
